How we list classes

We check each running class on its official website (organiser, target age and schedule) before listing it, and show the date we checked. We do not take payment for listings. Information can change, so please confirm on the official page before applying.

Open data

Facility information (athletics stadiums, sports parks, gyms, parks, schools, AEDs) comes from open data published by Japanese prefectures and municipalities, processed by Kakekko Navi. The source of each dataset is shown on each municipality page and on the 出典のページ (Japanese).

Why an English version

Many children with roots overseas live in Japan. Running is a sport anyone can join with very little equipment or language. We want these children to find a class or a place to run near home and run together with local children. We plan to add more languages (such as Chinese, Vietnamese and Portuguese) and information on whether each class accepts children who do not speak Japanese.
